Monitoring. Tracking mining processes and problematic cases When you set up your node and start mining under comfortable temperature and ventilation conditions, everything should be fine, and you can occasionally blow it out once a month. However, it happens that your device is interfered with by some external factor, or the pool cannot take its full capacity.
For this, there is a special section in *System* – kernel log and Miner Status, where you can figure out what is wrong and whether all boards and chips are in place.
Let’s take a look at the main problems that the miner can show you: – The hash is lower than stated in the link. The “Miner Status” tab displays “X”. – Cause: a damaged chip, which leads to a loss of speed on one hash board. Solution: If this hash board is working well, you can keep it. There is no need to repair it until it manifests itself in a large loss of tx.
– Hash speed is slower than usual. Many “X’s” in the status on one hash board. Cause: The chips are damaged, this caused the entire board to stop working. Solution: Remove the hash board for repair. Take it to a service center.
– Hash speed is lower than usual. Some chips have disappeared from the status. The hash rate is 2/3 of the normal state. Cause: This is caused by chips breaking in the chain. Solution: Remove the hash board for repair. Contact a service center.
– The device is working, but there is no hashrate. The hardware version displays XXXX. The hash board cannot be detected. There is no information about the status of the Miner interface. Cause. The miner firmware has crashed. Solution: perform a complete restart of the device by holding the reset button on the case for 30 seconds. If this does not help, you need to flash the device to a new firmware using a micro SD card. If this is not possible, contact the Service.
– The miner works in normal mode. After a while, there is no hashrate. Reason: one of the fans (coolers) was not detected. Only if two fans are detected, the miner can work properly. Solution: Turn on the fan and the IO board to find out which one is faulty. Replace the cooler
– The miner cannot find the IP. The red light is blinking. The green light does not turn on. 1.Cause: The miner is not connected to the pool (Internet). Solution: Test the cable and Internet settings (DHCP model required). 2.Cause: The procedure program is not running. Solution: turn off the asic for a while.
