Sapphire’s new products, which are based on AMD RDNA 2 architecture, are designed exclusively for mining, according to Spanish publication EL Chapuzas Informatico.

In order not to cause anger among gamers and fans of AMD, the company does not advertise that its partners sell graphics cards for miners. Such offers are not listed on the official sites of the manufacturer, so the main details are hidden in the background. But despite this, the Spanish edition of EL Chapuzas Informatico was able to get information about two graphics cards for mining from Sapphire.

For the most part, the GPRO series is positioned as a solution for workstations, but these models are designed for mining, as proof, the company itself indicates the performance of new products for mining Ethereum cryptocurrency:

Sapphire GPRO X080: 38.0 Mhesh/s @ 165W TGP (base hash rate), 41.6 Mhesh/s @ 93W TGP (after optimization)

Sapphire GPRO X060: 27.8 Mhesh/s @ 100W TGP (baseline hash rate), 29.4 Mhesh/s @ 60W TGP (after optimization)

The Sapphire GPRO X080 is based on the Navi 22 graphics chip with 2304 stream processors inside, which runs at up to 2132MHz. The card has 10 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 16 GHz and support for a bus bit rate of 160 bits, equipped with a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 interface. This model completely lacks video connectors and works only with Linux OS.

Sapphire GPRO X060 is based on Navi 23 XL graphics chip with 1792 stream processors running at up to 2044 MHz. The model has 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz and support for 128-bit bus. Compared to the older model, the X060 boasts DisplayPort and HDMI connectors, and is not limited to Linux only, but also runs in a Windows environment.

The Sapphire GPRO X060 will cost 550 euros, the older version at the time will sell for 750 euros – stated the company El Chapuzas Informatico. In the market, both graphics cards are offered for use by large mining farms, with the manufacturer not even adding them to the range of the official store.
