Description for: Elphapex DG Home 1 (DG1) – 2,1 Gh/s 630W ( LTC+DOGE+BELLS Miner )

DG Home 1 is an ASIC for the Scrypt algorithm, which outputs approximately 2.1 GH/s, with an error margin of around 3 percent. It consumes about 630 watts, but here too, a tolerance of ±10 should be taken into account, so the actual figures may be slightly higher or lower. It operates on a 100–240 V network, i.e., from a standard household outlet, and connects via RJ45 Ethernet, the standard option for a regular home Internet cable that comes out of any home router. The DG Home 1 case measures 410x370x135 mm and weighs about 10.3 kg, or 13.5 kg with packaging. In other words, the ASIC is not small, but it is not the heaviest option among Scrypt miners; it is more like a computer system unit in terms of both size and noise. If we take larger and more professional miners such as the Antminer L7 for comparison, the situation is completely different. The L7 outputs between 8.8 and 9.5 GH/s, which is almost five times higher than the DG Home 1. But along with this, energy consumption increases to around 3.4 kW compared to 0.63 kW for the DG Home 1. The difference is noticeable: the DG Home only needs a regular household outlet, while the L7 requires a separate power supply or at least a powerful stabilizer, plus serious cooling and a constant air flow, at a minimum. In terms of energy efficiency, DG Home 1 is even slightly more interesting in theory, because it consumes less energy per gh. In terms of overall profitability, L7 is certainly ahead due to its enormous power.

The two devices also differ in size. The DG Home 1 looks like a flatter, more elongated box, while the L7 is taller and narrower. The DG Home measures 410x370x135 mm, while the L7 measures approximately 370x195x290 mm. Let’s summarize. The L7 is easier to place in a rack or on a shelf because it is designed for this purpose, and it weighs about 13.5 kg, while the DG Home 1 weighs only 10.3 kg. The conclusion is simple: DG Home is easier to carry, just like a home PC system unit, while L7 is denser and heavier, but its form factor is more convenient for farms and industrial use.

In conclusion, we can say that DG Home 1 is suitable for those who want a stable, economical option with low power consumption, purely for home ASIC mining, and are not ready to install powerful power lines. Antminer L7 is on a completely different level — it offers significantly higher performance, but with it comes noise, heat, and electricity bills. Everyone chooses based on their own circumstances: for home mining, DG Home is easier, for large volumes, L7 is definitely the better choice.
