BITMAIN has released its new Antminer E9 PRO with a hash rate of 3600Mh/s, the asic has become a continuation of the breakthrough in its time – Antminer E9 at 2400M that was both more powerful and more economical in consumption than any other device on the market. At the time of writing ( 22.05.2023 ) E9 pro is the most powerful asic miner for ETC/ETHW with a consumption of only 1.9 kWh at 3600Mh/s.
Starting from May 2023 the first E9 PRO miners from the factory have already started to arrive in Ukraine. Many owners at the first launch of the E9 Pro immediately found a problem with the missing hash rate (Asik gave only 50% of the declared power) as well as in the last battle revealed the problem of the same MAC-address on all asics of this party.
What are some problems with Antminer E9 Pro: #1 – Doesn’t output hashrate #2 – Resets settings #3 – Mac address changes Problem #1 – Antminer E9 Pro does not generate hash rate
After turning on the E9 PRO – it was only giving out 50% ~1800Mh/s instead of the claimed 3600 MH/s. In the admin panel of the asic signaled that all 2 boards are working in normal mode, but the number of balls that received the pool (50%) refuted the data admin panel about the normal operation of the asic. Initially, all began to check different pools, thinking that the problem is in them, because they have not optimized their pools for the power of such an asic, but from changing pools, the problem did not go away and owners of E9 pro began to mass contact the service center.

Solving the problem that E9 Pro does not give hashrate
During diagnostics of the E9 PRO Asic by the masters of the service center there were revealed a number of design features and inaccuracies in the control as well as hash boards, which was the cause of the missing hash rate. Our Service Center has revealed the regularity and problems of the defect from the factory and eliminated the fault in the shortest possible time.

Problem #2 – E9 Pro resets to factory settings
In the process of using the async, customers also found the following problems.
1. At each reboot of the asiq, absolutely all settings were deleted, the device was reset to factory defaults and each time the pool and wallet had to be configured again.
Problem #3 – Antminer E9 Pro’s Mac address changes after a reboot
After a reboot, the MAC address changes and therefore the IP address of the device, so I have to look for it again in the network. The following data is displayed in the async log:

Since many customers of this particular patch had this problem, we can conclude that Bitmain decided to save money on the control board contractor, and sewed the same MAC-addresses into all asics.
Solution of problems #2 and #3 :
AsicFox service center performed MAC address replacement thanks to special equipment. The problem was solved.
