Mining companies cannot receive the purchased devices due to the supply crisis.
At the end of September, Riot Blockchain was supposed to receive 2,000 Bitmain Antminer S19j PRO devices and 4,000 in early October. In fact, the total number of hardware has only increased by 1,624.
Canada-based Bitfarms has now received 2,869 devices out of the 7,230 that the company is supposed to receive from September through December.
Marathon Digital was supposed to receive about 11,000 devices each month, as it bought a large batch of 11,416 asics. But during September, Bitmain delivered only 5,400 devices.
“In October, we started ordering charter flights to deliver our hardware to reduce the impact of the global supply chain crisis on our growth. This has reduced the average equipment delivery time by 50% compared to September. As long as it remains economically viable, we will continue to book charter flights,” Marathon said in a statement.
